TIA Consulting is a one-person practice built on the belief that good technology should make organizations stronger, more efficient, and more human...not just more complicated. I'm Tia, and this is how I work.
The Story
Bridging the gap between tech and mission.
Let's be real for moment...I started TIA Consulting because I got laid off and needed to keep my family afloat. I decided this was the right path because over the years, I have regularly seen the same problem: organizations doing genuinely important work being held back by technology that didn't fit them including tools that were overcomplicated, processes that made no sense, and systems no one really understood. They weren't struggling because they lacked resources or talent. They were struggling because no one had ever helped them get their technology right.
My background spans Software Engineering, IT consulting, process design, web development, and documentation creation.
TIA stands for Technology. Insight. Alignment. Exactly what every engagement is built around. Fixing what's broken, but making sure the work we do together makes sense for your organization long after I'm gone.
What I Believe

The name TIA isn't an accident. Most mission-driven organizations are so focused on the work (rightly so) that technology becomes an afterthought. Emails go out from the sending domain of whatever CRM they signed up for years ago. Tools get added without a plan. Systems grow around the gaps. This is what I fix.
Technology
Technology isn't a side concern, it's infrastructure. When it's ignored, it shows: broken workflows, undelivered emails, data no one trusts, and staff wasting hours on tasks a system should handle. I help organizations treat their technology like it matters, because it does.
Insight
Good recommendations require real understanding. I don't arrive with a predetermined solution...I ask questions, learn how you work, and figure out what's actually going on before I suggest anything. The insight has to come before the answer.
Alignment
Technology should fit the organization, not the other way around. The goal of every engagement is alignment between your tools and your workflows, between your systems and your team, and between what you have and what you actually need.
How I Work
Practical, honest, and built to last.
When we finish working together, your team should understand what was built, why it was built that way, and how to keep it running. Every engagement ends with documentation, a walkthrough, and a clear path forward.
I work with only a few clients at a time, which means you get my full attention and direct access to me. I'm not a project manager passing messages to a team you've never met. If you have a question, you can ask me directly. If something isn't working, I'll tell you honestly before it becomes a bigger problem.
My goal isn't to be indispensable. It's to make myself unnecessary and to hand off something solid enough that you don't need to call me every time something changes.
